What a 510 battery is, and isn't
A 510 battery is a power supply with a standard screw fitting. That's the whole product. It contains no nicotine and no e-liquid — whatever the cartridge holds is a separate purchase and a separate question.
"510" is a threading standard, named for ten threads across five millimetres. Its value is interoperability: any 510 cartridge screws onto any 510 battery. It tells you nothing about quality or power, and compatibility questions are almost never about the thread — electrically it always fits. They're about whether the cartridge fits the housing.
The voltage dial is the part worth understanding. Voltage sets how hard the battery drives the cartridge's coil, which sets how hot it runs. Hotter means bigger, warmer draws and faster consumption; cooler means more flavour detail and longer life. Start low and step up only if the draw is too small — a burnt taste means you're above what that coil wants, not that anything is broken.
Four voltage levels
2.7V, 3.0V, 3.3V and 3.7V. Deliberately conservative — 3.0V is the sensible place to live, and 3.7V is where cartridges get scorched.
Cartridge fit
0.5g to 1g cartridges sit inside the body; 2g-plus cartridges mount on top using one of the three included metal adapters.
Preheat
A low-power pulse for thick or cold oil that won't draw. It's a fix for a symptom, not a step in normal use.
Contains no nicotine

What voltage should I use?

Will a 2g cartridge fit?
It will connect, because 510 is a universal thread. Whether it fits the housing is a separate question: the RayGun Penjamin holds 0.5g to 1g cartridges inside the body, while 2g-plus cartridges mount on top using one of the three included metal adapters.
Does a 510 battery contain nicotine?

What does preheat do?
