What the Switch Pro is

Boost and Normal, and what the puff number means
Boost runs warmer and bigger; Normal is the everyday setting. Power is also how fast you get through it — Boost burns through liquid and battery quicker than Normal does.
The 30,000 figure is a lab measurement at the lower power setting, from a machine taking short uniform draws. Real-world life is shorter, and it's shorter still on Boost. Treat it as a ceiling, not a promise.
